Disappointment in New York July 6, 2006

In a 4-2 decision, New York’s highest court has ruled that the state constitution does not compel the recognition of same-sex marriages. Huge disappointment, but almost exactly as predicted. The majority opinion also seems to be fairly anti-gay. More later.
